There’s a special place in my heart for chocolate mousse. How can there not be? Velvety, smooth, fluffy chocolatey clouds of mousse. One of the best inventions since the creation of desserts. However, in the past, many of my mousse-making efforts ended up with me scraping chocolate scrambled eggs from a pan and running frantically to the grocery store in search of the boxed mixes to add whipping cream (it pains me to admit this). But no longer! This is the mousse recipe to end all frustration. I hesitate to dub this “fail proof”, mostly because of my firm belief in Murphy’s Law, but seriously…this is basically *whispers, with fingers crossed* FAIL PROOF!
The other thing I love about this recipe, is that it is made with dark chocolate and whole eggs rather than yolks, so for one thing, you aren’t stuck with a big bowl of leftover egg whites, and for another its healthier…or at least I like to tell myself it is. 🙂
